Jaffa 17 – urban loft
Your Jerusalem Stay
First Impressions
Walking up to Jaffa 17 – urban loft on Jaffa Street, you immediately get that this isn’t your typical hotel experience. It’s tucked right into the pulse of Jerusalem, and I mean right in the thick of things — you can practically feel the city’s energy from the moment you step inside. This three-star property has this cool urban vibe that feels more like staying at a friend’s stylish place than a standard hotel. The building itself has character, you know what I mean? It’s got that Jerusalem stone exterior that blends perfectly with the historic streetscape.
Location & Neighborhood
Honestly, the location is pretty much unbeatable — couples especially seem to go crazy for it, rating it a perfect 10. You’re literally in the heart of everything that matters in Jerusalem. Jaffa Street is this main artery that connects the old city vibes with modern Jerusalem life, and you’ll find yourself walking to major sites instead of hunting for taxis or buses. The light rail runs right down the street, which is actually super convenient for getting around. I love how you can grab coffee at one of the local cafés in the morning and be at the Western Wall or Mahane Yehuda Market within minutes.
The Loft Experience
The urban loft concept really works here — each room feels spacious and thoughtfully designed with that industrial-chic aesthetic. You’ll notice the high ceilings and large windows that let in tons of natural light, which is something I always appreciate when staying in city centers. The furnishings strike this nice balance between modern comfort and urban edge. It’s not trying to be fancy or over-the-top, but everything feels well-chosen and functional. The beds are comfortable, and there’s enough space to actually unpack and settle in for a few days.
Daily Life & Amenities
What I really liked is how the place caters to travelers who want to experience Jerusalem like locals do. The staff knows the neighborhood inside and out — they’ll point you toward the best hummus place or tell you which route to take for the most interesting walk to the Old City. The property keeps things simple but effective with their amenities. You won’t find a fancy spa or elaborate breakfast spread, but you get what matters most: a clean, comfortable base in an incredible location with people who actually care about your experience.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.8 rating really makes sense once you spend time here. It’s that sweet spot where you’re getting excellent value without paying premium prices for unnecessary frills. Couples particularly seem to love the romantic potential of the location — imagine stepping out for dinner and having dozens of authentic options within walking distance, then strolling back through Jerusalem’s beautifully lit streets. The urban loft concept appeals to travelers who want something with personality rather than cookie-cutter hotel rooms. Plus, being right on Jaffa Street means you’re connected to both the historic and contemporary sides of the city in a way that feels natural and unforced.

Guest Reviews
The apartment is compact, perfectly situated, and well-equipped, offering comfortable beds, making it ideal for a brief stay in Jerusalem.
It was great to find large bottles of water, Coca-Cola, and even alternative milk in the fridge.
Our host was most gracious. He was prompt in his response and proved to be of great assistance throughout our stay in Jerusalem.
What could be improved: It is important to note that the apartment is situated below ground level and has a very small window that allows for minimal natural light. Furthermore, the adjacent property is undergoing renovations, and the construction activities commence at 7:30 a.m. Naturally, there is some dust from the construction site.
clean room, easy access
Great bed. Responsive host.
Excellent location. Clean and nice. Everything was available and the instructions were on point! I will be coming back to the same apartment!
The location is very good and Noam the host is very friendly
This apartment is really conveniently located a stone's throw from the old city. It is located in a semi-basement so you have only one window in one end of the room. Behind the apartment is a cute little comunal patio for sitting outside after a long day of sightseeing. This patio also houses the washer and dryer, which is a nice plus. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in the area. Located only a few meters away from the light rail stop that will bring you directly from Yitzhak Navon (central) station to the apartment. The apartment is well equiped with everything you might need for a short stay. Noam is really easy to communicatue with, we appriciated that he took time to come and say hi during our short visit (and to ask us to write a review. Here you are, Noam)
What could be improved: As the apartment is located one level down from the street and has only one window on one side which might feel a bit claustrophobic for some people.
Excellent location, suite is clean, very comfortable
What could be improved: the wifi does not reach the room, so you have to be near the door to get a signal
Property is very accessible to light train station, money changer in the building and if you are craving for pizza it’s beside the building.
The place is clean hope they will keep it maintained.
Walking distance to the mall. We will most likely book this place if we decide to visit again.❤️
We have some problems with internet, but host was so helpful about that, and about other informations we needed.

What could be improved: Nothing,
