King George suites
Your Jerusalem Stay
First Impressions
Walking up to King George suites on one of Jerusalem’s most recognizable streets, you immediately sense you’ve found something special. The building sits right in the thick of things — I mean, you’re literally steps from Ben Yehuda Street’s pedestrian mall and the buzz of downtown Jerusalem. What struck me first was how this four-star property manages to feel both sophisticated and welcoming, without any of that stuffy hotel formality you sometimes get in upscale places.
Location & Neighborhood
Honestly, the location here is pretty much unbeatable if you want to experience Jerusalem’s energy firsthand. King George Street is like the city’s main artery — you’ve got cafes, shops, and restaurants literally at your doorstep, plus you can walk to the Old City in about fifteen minutes. The light rail runs nearby too, which makes getting around incredibly easy. I noticed couples seem particularly drawn to this spot (they rate it 9.5 apparently), and I get why — there’s something romantic about being able to stroll through Nachlaot’s winding streets or grab dinner in the German Colony without needing a taxi.
The Suites Experience
The suites themselves feel more like well-appointed apartments than typical hotel rooms, which is refreshing when you’re staying for more than a night or two. You’ll find proper kitchenettes in most units — not just a mini-fridge and coffee maker, but actual cooking facilities that come in handy when you want to prepare a simple meal or store leftovers from one of the neighborhood’s generous portions. The design leans contemporary without being cold, and the windows offer glimpses of Jerusalem’s unique urban landscape with its mix of old stone and modern glass.
Practical Comforts
What I appreciated most was how the staff seems to understand that travelers need different things at different times. Sometimes you want recommendations for hidden gems in Mahane Yehuda market, other times you just need reliable wifi and a quiet space to decompress after walking Jerusalem’s hills all day. The property delivers on both fronts — the internet actually works well (not always a given in older Jerusalem buildings), and the soundproofing keeps the street noise to a minimum despite being right in the center of everything.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.6 rating starts to make sense once you’ve spent a few days here. It’s not just about the prime location, though that’s certainly part of it — it’s how King George suites manages to give you the independence of an apartment with the services of a proper hotel. You can walk to the Kotel for sunrise, grab fresh bread from a local bakery, explore the Israel Museum, and still come back to a place that feels like a home base rather than just somewhere to sleep. For Jerusalem, where finding that balance between authentic local experience and reliable comfort can be tricky, this place gets the formula right.

Guest Reviews
מעוצב מהמם איזור טוב ושקט יש פה הכל מתאים גם לשומרי שבת ונקי
What could be improved: המקלחת מאוד קטנה ואין אופציה להניח מגבת או משהו בפנים בלי שהיא תרטב
What could be improved: בעיית תקשורת מטרידה - הוראות ההגעה המקדימות למקום באנגלית בלבד, ואי אפשר להיכנס ללא הסדרה מראש של הרישום וקבלת קוד. מי שלא יודע אנגלית בבעיה!!! כשנתקענו בחוץ אף אחד לא ענה לטלפון וחיכינו שעה בחוץ עד שמישהו ענה לנו בהתכתבות באתר והצלחנו להיכנס. מאד מבאס.
