Ovadia Somech #3
Your Jerusalem Stay
First Impressions
Walking up to Ovadia Somech #3 on a quiet street in Jerusalem, you might wonder if you’ve got the right address — it’s tucked away in such an authentic neighborhood that it feels more like visiting a local friend than checking into a hotel. This three-star property doesn’t try to be flashy, and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it work. The building has that lived-in Jerusalem stone look that you see everywhere in the old parts of the city, but there’s something welcoming about the entrance that immediately puts you at ease.
The Heart of Jerusalem
Here’s what I love about this location — you’re actually in a real Jerusalem neighborhood, not some touristy bubble. The property sits right in the center of everything with a location score of 9.2, which honestly makes sense once you start exploring. You can walk to the Old City without breaking a sweat, but you’re also surrounded by the kind of local cafes and shops that most visitors never discover. I mean, there’s this little bakery around the corner that locals line up at every morning — you know you’re in the right spot when that happens.
The Room Experience
The room itself is straightforward but comfortable, with that no-nonsense approach that actually works really well for Jerusalem. You’re not getting marble bathrooms or fancy amenities, but everything you need is there and it’s clean and functional. The windows let in great natural light, and if you’re lucky enough to get one facing the right direction, you’ll catch glimpses of the city’s unique rooftops. What struck me most was how quiet it gets at night — for being so central, the street is surprisingly peaceful once the day winds down.
Perfect for Couples
There’s something about this place that couples really connect with, and I think it’s the intimate scale of everything. You’re not lost in some massive hotel complex — instead, you feel like you’re staying in a little corner of Jerusalem that belongs to you. The neighborhood has this romantic, old-world charm where you can wander narrow streets hand-in-hand and stumble across hidden courtyards and unexpected views. Evening walks here are pretty special, especially when the Jerusalem stone starts glowing in that golden light the city is famous for.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back is that authentic Jerusalem experience you just can’t get in the bigger, more commercial hotels. You wake up to the sounds of a real neighborhood — kids heading to school, shopkeepers opening up, the call to prayer drifting over from nearby mosques. It’s not polished or perfect, but it’s genuine in a way that feels increasingly rare. The 8.0 rating reflects exactly what this place delivers — solid, honest hospitality in one of Jerusalem’s most walkable neighborhoods, without any pretense or inflated prices.

Guest Reviews
Geras susisiekimas
What could be improved: Truputi triukšmo :)
For the area, it was a bigger studio than most, in a central location, nicely organized.
What could be improved: The apartment is long due for a maintenance call form kitchen cabinets to rusty spots and overall corners that were not cleaned for a long time.
The hall in front of the apartment is cluttered with junk unpleasant to get in.
The entrance is dark and hard to operate the lock with no light, and the few steps from the streets to the door need to be cleaned once in a while .
מיקום
What could be improved: המקום זקוק לחזקה שוטפת.
הארונות מתפרקים, אין מוצרים בסיסים כמו כוסות במטבח, יש מכונת קפה ללא קפסולות.
הריהוט מלוכלך, המיטה חורקת, המזרון לא נוח.
