The Pearl of Nachlaot Apartments
Your Jerusalem Stay
First Impressions
Walking up to The Pearl of Nachlaot Apartments on Maalot HaRav Haim Araki, you immediately get the sense that someone really thought about what travelers actually want. This four-star property sits right in the heart of one of Jerusalem‘s most charming neighborhoods — and I mean that in the best possible way. Nachlaot has this wonderful mix of old-world character and modern energy that you just don’t find everywhere, with narrow stone streets that wind between century-old buildings and trendy cafes that locals actually frequent.
The Neighborhood Advantage
Here’s what I love about this location — you’re genuinely in a real Jerusalem neighborhood, not some touristy bubble. The Mahane Yehuda market is literally a five-minute walk away, which means you can grab fresh produce, spices, and some of the city’s best street food without dealing with crowds of tour groups. Honestly, I’ve stayed in fancier places that felt completely disconnected from the actual city. The couples who stay here seem to get it — there’s something romantic about wandering these old streets together, discovering little wine bars tucked into basement spaces or stumbling across impromptu street musicians.
The Apartment Experience
Each apartment feels more like a temporary home than a hotel room, which makes a huge difference when you’re staying for more than a night or two. The kitchen setup is actually functional — I’m talking real counter space and appliances you’d want to use, not the token mini-fridge situation you get at most places. You know what’s nice? Being able to make coffee the way you like it in the morning, or picking up some of those amazing pastries from the bakery down the street and having a proper place to enjoy them.
What Makes It Work
The building itself has character without feeling run-down, if that makes sense. Stone walls, high ceilings, windows that actually open to let in that Jerusalem air — it feels authentic but comfortable. I’ve noticed the staff here actually knows the neighborhood well enough to give you real recommendations, not just the standard tourist spots. They’ll tell you which restaurant has the best shakshuka or where to find parking that won’t cost you a fortune (which, trust me, is valuable information in this city).
Why Guests Love It
The 8.8 rating makes perfect sense once you spend time here — it’s that sweet spot where everything works without feeling overly polished or impersonal. Couples especially seem to appreciate having space to spread out and the freedom to explore the neighborhood at their own pace. You’re close enough to walk to the Old City when you want that full Jerusalem experience, but you come home to Nachlaot’s quieter, more intimate vibe. It’s the kind of place where you might actually extend your stay because you’ve found your little corner of the city, and honestly, that’s not something that happens at every hotel.
Pilgrims reserve a hotel in Jerusalem before Easter processions and Hanukkah lightings fill ancient courtyards.

Guest Reviews
Spacious, comfortable apartment!
Clean and new - provided soap for the washer and dryer.
What could be improved: Only the bedroom had natural light, the rest of the apartment did not have any windows. The second bedroom was for children, and only had a bunkbed. We were 2 adults. The hot water heater did not seem to work well. We were only given 4 small pods of coffee before asking for more which was provided. The second bedroom did not have an air conditioner so we had to ask for a fan which was quickly provided.
I’d recommend the Abraham Hostel and Jet a superior room. It is 1/3 of the price and breakfast is included.
Spacious, 3 rooms, however only 1 toilet & bath. Could have been perfect if more than 1 toilet. Good wifi access, clean, provided with complete amenities in the kitchen, living room, bedrooms and patio.
Checking in went smoothly via chat in bookingdotcom.
What could be improved: Only 1 toilet.
location! the place was perfectly clean and corresponded to our needs. The refrigerator is large, beds are comfortable and bathroom roomy and clean.
What could be improved: The communication with the renters was not perfect. We tried to receive information about the parking, as the website indicated there was one but the confirmation mentioned we had to use a public parking which was full. We ended up parking on the street and luckily were not fined. In the renter's defense, it was a day of demonstrations and Jerusalem was hectic.
The apartment was tastefully decorated, modern and clean. It was a little removed from the street so that the noise from the traffic wasn’t a concern. I would definitely rent here again.
What could be improved: The elevator stopped working for a day and a half and nobody was aware. My elderly mother had to climb the stairs numerous times. I finally contacted the company who were able to help me solve the problem in a minute. Someone had turned a switch off. My question was how no one from the staff noticed that?
Location is superb.
Apartment is comfy.
Facilities are very good
What could be improved: Parking lot nearby.
Quite expensive
Very clean facilities
What could be improved: The owner/staff do not respond to issues, either by text or voice call. The gate’s security code does not work most of the time and no one is there to help
Apartment was close to a conference location (Vert Hotel). Clean and modern apartment.
What could be improved: Next time we would prefer a flat on second or third floor. We were in the basement. The windows of the bedrooms were next to street (noise). The place before the front door (terrace) was rather dirty.
Big three bedroom apartment with comfy kitchen and facilities. One bathroom en suite and another one common for the two other rooms. Located in very central location. The building is newly built and in pristine condition.
What could be improved: A small hiccup in the check-in. Apartment was ready ~1 hour later than promised and the keys were missing (previous guest mistakenly took them). Solved by the staff who went to another place in the city to pick the spare keys.
The living rooms connects to the kitchen and doesn't have a window to the outside, so it is missing some natural light.
Spacious, beautiful, clean and cozy, all the needed domestic appliances at hand, good location, quiet.
What could be improved: Ground floor is ground floor - bedroom windows into the road. Small bedroom had no windows at all.
