About this stay

Your Jerusalem Stay

First Impressions

The Seven Arches Hotel sits on the Mount of Olives with what I’d honestly call one of the most stunning views in Jerusalem — you’re looking straight across at the Old City’s golden walls and the Dome of the Rock. It’s a four-star property that doesn’t try to be flashy, but the location alone makes it feel special. The building itself has this understated elegance, sort of blending into the hillside rather than dominating it.

The View That Changes Everything

I mean, let’s be real — you’re not staying here just for the amenities. That panoramic view from the terrace is absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunrise when the light hits the Old City walls. The hotel’s position on the Mount of Olives means you’re literally looking down at some of the world’s most sacred sites. What’s actually pretty cool is that you can walk down to the Garden of Gethsemane in about ten minutes, though it’s definitely uphill on the way back. The vistas shift throughout the day, offering different perspectives of the ancient landscape.

Rooms and Comfort

The room I stayed in was comfortable without being fancy — clean lines, decent space, and thankfully, air conditioning that actually works (you’ll need it in summer). Most rooms face the Old City, which means you wake up to that incredible view every morning. The beds are solid, the bathrooms are modern enough, and there’s free Wi-Fi throughout. Honestly, you’ll probably spend more time on your balcony than inside anyway. Each accommodation is thoughtfully appointed with quality furnishings.

Practical Matters

Breakfast is a buffet spread that covers the basics well — fresh bread, local cheeses, eggs, and surprisingly good coffee. The restaurant serves decent Middle Eastern and international dishes, though I’d recommend venturing into the Old City for dinner if you’re feeling adventurous. There’s free parking on-site, which is actually a big deal in Jerusalem where finding a spot can be a nightmare. The staff speaks multiple languages and genuinely seems to know the area well — they gave me some great tips about avoiding crowds at the Western Wall. Guest services remain attentive throughout your stay.

Why Guests Love It

Look, couples especially seem to fall for this place (they rate the location 8.8 out of 10), and I get why. There’s something romantic about watching the sunset over the Old City from your balcony. The hotel strikes this nice balance — you’re close enough to walk to major sites but far enough away to escape the tourist chaos when you need a break. It’s not the fanciest place you’ll ever stay, but the combination of that view, the peaceful atmosphere, and the genuinely helpful staff makes it work. Plus, you know what? Waking up to see the Dome of the Rock glinting in the morning sun never gets old. This property delivers an authentic experience that resonates with travelers seeking meaningful connections to the destination.

The staff is attentive and kind. The breakfast is good, but the location is AWESOME. I would definitely stay another time on my next visit to Jerusalem.

What could be improved: The breakfast time could be until 10am and when the weather was cold (8° at night) it was taking too long to get hot water in the bathroom. It seemed that the hot water was taking a long way in the pipe to reach the faucet. But definitely this was minor, as I mentioned before it was a perfect stay!

Seven Arches has an amazing view of Old Jerusalem and surrounding landmarks, churches, etc. It's extremely walkable to some of the most coveted sites (though alot of it uphill). Public transportation also comes right at the door! It has an overall impeccable location, second only to the staff! Service here was absolute amazing. Elias and Eliat? were uber helpful! The kitchen and hotel staff were quite attentive as well. Excellent bang for you buck. My permanent stay in Jerusalem will always be Seven Arches! They're like family now :-)

What could be improved: While the hotel is a GREAT property-she needs some updating. Restaurant is beautiful, great spacious common areas need a little TLC and maybe some newer furniture. Breakfast variety could be wider. I know we're in Israel, but basic oatmeal with brown sugar, raisins, etc. would be helpful.

Both Elias & Sufiyan
were absolutely amazing 👏. They managed the reception in the morning and night.
They were the reason I planned my trip to Israel. They were very helpful when I called them from England before my trip.
Also They gave me the itinerary and helped me out throughout my stay in Jerusalem. Also they have a convenient place for parking.
I will definitely stay there again when I visit Israel 🇮🇱.

What could be improved: Obviously the breakfast was limited due to the ongoing tension and less staff member's. So the buffet was limited, however all the staff were good.
I hope the tension is over soon

It is located on a hill. I am quite fit so it was not a problem for me but less mobile people will need to ise the bus (bus stop right in front) or taxi.

What could be improved: Room was quite big and clean. Front desk was very kind and helpful. Great view of Old town Jerusalem. Room was quiet and bed was comfortable.

The scenery was breathtaking, the staff were courteous, the breakfast was satisfactory, and the value for money was exceptional.

What could be improved: The hotel building appeared antiquated, and at times, the odor was quite unpleasant.
