Sweethome26 YAFO STREET JERUSALEM
Your Jerusalem Stay
First Impressions
Walking up to Sweethome26 YAFO STREET JERUSALEM on bustling Yafo Street, you immediately get that feeling you’ve landed somewhere special. This four-star property sits right in the thick of things — I mean, you’re literally in the heart of Jerusalem here. The building itself has that understated charm that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something the tour groups haven’t quite caught onto yet, even though honestly, with a location score of 9.9, it’s hardly a secret anymore.
The Perfect Jerusalem Base
You know what really struck me about this place? It’s how effortlessly you can explore everything from here. Yafo Street is one of those arteries that just connects you to the whole city — the Old City walls are practically within arm’s reach, and you can wander to the Mahane Yehuda market without breaking a sweat. I watched couples stroll back from evening walks looking completely content, which makes sense given how highly pairs rate this spot for romantic getaways. There’s something about being able to duck back to your room between sightseeing sessions that just changes the whole travel rhythm.
What Sets It Apart
The thing about Sweethome26 is that it feels more like staying at a well-connected friend’s place than a typical hotel. The staff actually knows the neighborhood — not just the obvious tourist spots, but where locals grab their morning coffee and which streets to take for the best evening light on the stone buildings. With that 9.1 rating, they’re clearly doing something right, and I’d say it’s this balance between being professionally run and genuinely welcoming.
The Jerusalem Experience
What I love about this location is how it puts you right in the flow of daily Jerusalem life. You’ll hear the call to prayer mixing with street vendors and the general hum of a city that’s been continuously lived in for millennia. The Yafo Street corridor has this energy that shifts throughout the day — busy with commuters in the morning, filled with the aroma of street food by afternoon, and taking on this almost magical quality as the sun sets over the ancient stones. It’s the kind of spot where you can grab fresh bread from a local bakery and feel like you’re part of the neighborhood rhythm.
Why Guests Love It
Honestly, the location alone would be enough to recommend this place, but it’s really the combination of being perfectly positioned and genuinely well-run that makes it work. Couples keep coming back because you can be romantic without being isolated — you’re connected to everything Jerusalem offers while having a peaceful retreat to return to. The fact that it consistently earns such high marks from guests tells you that this isn’t just about being in a great spot (though that certainly doesn’t hurt), it’s about creating an experience that makes you want to extend your stay just a little longer.

Guest Reviews
Location was amazing.
Everything was fine and the location was perfect. It was midway between the railway station and the old city. A light railway stop was outside the apartment block and a good grocery shop was at ground level. Location, location.
What could be improved: A bit noisy from the street at times but that is what you have to expect in such a central location.
Excellent stay. Very clean and comfort. A baby bed and a feeding chair was waiting for us.
We will definitely come again
What could be improved: Nothing. Everything was great.
The flat was clean and had everything that was required to make our 4-nights stay comfortable (and we were a group of 6 adults!).
It is perfectly located - within walking distance to the Old town, and just a minute away from the tramway. We received guidelines on how to collect keys from the building which was helpful as we arrived late at night.
Amazing location and well-equipped apartment
What could be improved: Kitchen could have been cleaner, particularly the microwave and cupboard doors.
A well located apartment located conveniently at the Davidka Square. It's close to the busy city centre and within 15 mins walking distance to the Old Jerusalem. The host was very accommodating, with early self-checkin available and provided a cot for our baby. The apartment was well maintained and generally clean.
What could be improved: The square, to which all of the apartment's windows face, can get a bit noisy, especially on weekend nights, but otherwise no major complaints.
For our family - 3 adults and 2 children - the property was great - big rooms, 2 bathrooms, big windows, great location, we had coffee and water on arrival, and all the rooms were very well equipped. Good job.
What could be improved: All was great.
Mrs Karine is very kind and ready to help for every possible needs. The location is strategic, the apartment clean and comfortable.
Everything is at walking distance.
Owner/ manager very flexible.
What could be improved: Parking in the building was too costly.
Park across the street private lot for less than half the price.
The location was fantastic, very central and right by the light rail
What could be improved: The bathroom needs to be fixed, it needs a paint and the tiles in the bath needs to be fixed
