The J – Luxury Apartments By Localz
Your Jerusalem Stay
First Impressions
Walking up to The J – Luxury Apartments By Localz on HaMadregot Street, you immediately get the sense that someone really thought this through. It’s not flashy or trying too hard — just this clean, modern building that somehow fits perfectly into Jerusalem‘s historic landscape. The entrance feels more like stepping into a friend’s upscale apartment building than a typical hotel, which honestly sets the tone for everything that follows. The design philosophy here prioritizes comfort and authenticity over unnecessary frills.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re genuinely in the heart of things without being stuck in tourist chaos. HaMadregot 13 puts you within walking distance of the Old City, but you know what? You can actually get a good night’s sleep here. The neighborhood has this authentic Jerusalem vibe where locals grab coffee in the morning and kids play in the small parks. I mean, there’s a reason couples rate this place so highly — it’s romantic without being isolated from real life. The surrounding streets offer genuine local experiences and cultural immersion.
The Apartment Experience
These aren’t hotel room in the traditional sense, and that’s exactly the point. Each space feels like you’re staying in someone’s well-designed home, complete with a proper kitchen that you’ll actually want to use. The appliances work (I tested them), there’s counter space for spreading out groceries from Mahane Yehuda Market, and honestly, making coffee in the morning while looking out at Jerusalem stone buildings never gets old. The four-star rating feels right — everything’s quality without being precious about it. Guests consistently praise the thoughtful layout and premium finishes throughout.
What Sets It Apart
The staff here gets it — they’re helpful without hovering, and they actually know the neighborhood. When I asked about finding good hummus nearby, the front desk guy didn’t just point me toward the obvious tourist spots but gave me three different options depending on what I was in the mood for. There’s parking available too, which if you’ve ever tried to park in central Jerusalem, you’ll understand is basically a small miracle. The building itself stays quiet even when it’s full, and the Wi-Fi actually works consistently. These practical amenities make a real difference in your stay.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.7 rating isn’t an accident — this place delivers on the things that actually matter when you’re traveling. You get the independence of having your own space with the backup of hotel services when you need them. The location means you can walk to major sites but also discover those little Jerusalem moments that happen when you’re just wandering around a real neighborhood. For couples especially, there’s something special about having a proper home base where you can cook dinner together or just sit with wine and plan the next day without feeling like you’re living out of a suitcase. It’s the perfect balance of comfort and authenticity.

What could be improved: Nothing
Nice apartments with all needed facilities. Very good location - if you are not afraid of walking up to 30 minutes everything is within walking distance. The host was very friendly and helpful.
It's located in a small and quiet street right in between the train station and the city center, next to Mahane Yehuda the main open air market.
The place is simply stunning and brand new the fixtures are luxurious the entry all as well as the communal spaces are tastefully decorated.
There is staff present onsite to assist you with any request, they made sure all our wishes came true! Tarek you are a star!
What could be improved: I did not stay long enough
Great servive by the staff, very clean and great location. Perfect for a long weekend.
Apartments are brand new and the staff is amazing. There is an on site manager at all times and service is better than a hotel. Highly recommend and will come back. Honestly my favorite stay in Israel.
New building, apartments and equipment accordingly. Tarek's service is excellent - makes you feel like staying in a hotel, takes care of everything you need.
Definitely recommend to anyone who is interested in the location
What could be improved: parking
Clean and tidy, everything worked well, very supporting host. Excellent value for money.
The staff was excellent. The apartment was a beautiful 2 bedroom unit located in a new building. The location is close to the market and walking distance to Kotel and King George Street.. The area where the building is located is somewhat unsightly, but you will find that in many areas in Jerusalem. We stayed for a week and were very comfortable overall. Beds are very comfortable. Internet service good.
What could be improved: Pillows, suggest u bring your own if u don't like thick, non mushy ones. Had to use decorative pillows with a towel. Limited kitchen items, need kitchen towels.
New and clean and well lighted rooms; comfortable beds; quiet residential neighborhood, close to attractions
What could be improved: Everything is amazing
